Hello gorgeous people!
Its been a while since we last wrote a blog post. We promise you we have been extremely busy here at Willow & Lace HQ. We have been making lots of gorgeous millinery for Royal Ascot as well as styling lots of beautiful women for the event.
This blog post is slightly different, in the sense that we wont be telling you about the fabulous hats we made for the event. Instead we will be blogging about one of our other favorite services and that is ‘Dress the Dress’.
Back in April we were approached by one of our lovely regular clients, Charlotte Hamilton to help style her for Royal Ascot. Charlotte had previously purchased a gorgeous lace dress from us in a stunning nude colour for a spring wedding. Using this dress, we altered the shape and added embellishment and a feather trim, to up-cycle and revamp her dress, to look entirely different for Royal Ascot. The results were fabulous and we are so happy to be sharing the images with you! Does’nt Charlotte look gorgeous!!
The dress was originally an all over lace maxi in a halter neck shape. We chopped the length of the dress into a midi length and tailored the skirt into a more pencil shape, giving a figure hugging sexy silhouette, to suit Charlotte’s figure. To help lift the beautiful nude colouring we opted for a gorgeous soft rose, pink feather trim. This trim not only complimented the nude tone, but it also gave the dress a vintage spring feel perfect for Ascot. To finish off the look, we added a fine rose gold metallic cord to the waist to help tie everything together complimenting all of Charlotte’s accessories.
At Willow & Lace we absolutely love styling women for a variety of different events, and love nothing more than up-cycling and revamping existing dresses to make women feel a million dollars! Why buy a whole new outfit if you can up-cycle an outfit you already have? Its not only good for the environments but its fantastic for the bank balance! If you would like us to help you revamp an outfit you already have get in touch with us and we will see what we can do! Head over to our Contact Page and drop us a line.
